Fidelity Building Services Group Acquires Compressor Energy Services

Fidelity Building Services Group (Fidelity BSG) has acquired Compressor Energy Services (CES), a New England–based firm specializing in compressed air energy-efficiency consulting and project implementation. CES will join Fidelity's Energy & Sustainability Group to expand turnkey energy offerings for industrial, manufacturing and R&D clients across Fidelity's national footprint.

Fidelity Building Services Group has acquired Chesapeake Mission Critical, a Beltsville, Maryland–based provider of mission-critical power and precision cooling systems. Chesapeake Corporate Advisors served as exclusive financial advisor to Chesapeake Mission Critical; the CMC management team will continue to run the business as an operating division of Fidelity BSG, with Mark Ryan serving as President of CMC and Partner in Fidelity BSG.

Onex Partners V Acquires Fidelity Building Services Group

Onex Partners V, a fund of Onex Corporation, has agreed to acquire Fidelity Building Services Group in partnership with the company's management team. Fidelity BSG is a provider of HVAC, mechanical, building automation and emergency power services headquartered in Sparks, Maryland; Onex said it will support Fidelity's organic growth and accelerate its acquisition strategy. Terms were not disclosed and the transaction was expected to close later in 2021 subject to customary conditions.

The Sustainable Investing business of Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Cleanhill Partners have acquired a majority stake in EPC Power Corp. through a comprehensive recapitalization to support the company's expansion of U.S. manufacturing capacity and growth into utility-scale renewable energy storage and related markets. EPC Power, a Poway, California-based designer and manufacturer of American-made smart inverters, employs ~180 people and operates additional engineering/sales offices in Helsinki to serve global customers.
