Omnicom Group Inc. completed its acquisition of The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc., creating a combined marketing and advertising holding company with pro forma revenue in excess of $25 billion. The deal, which exchanged 0.344 Omnicom shares for each Interpublic share, unites extensive agency capabilities under Omnicom’s Omni intelligence platform to drive scale, data/technology integration and capability expansion.

Astellas Pharma Acquires Propella Therapeutics

Astellas Pharma, through its U.S. subsidiary Astellas US Holding, agreed to acquire privately held biopharmaceutical company Propella Therapeutics for approximately US$175 million. The acquisition gives Astellas ownership of PRL-02, a next-generation long-acting abiraterone prodrug for prostate cancer currently in Phase 1, and is expected to close within Astellas' fiscal year 2023 (ending March 31, 2024).

Nobl Q Acquires Propel

Propel Insurance (Flexpoint Ford portfolio) Acquires HealthCare Services (HCS) Insurance Partners

Propel Insurance, a portfolio company of Flexpoint Ford, has acquired HealthCare Services (HCS), a boutique risk-management and insurance consulting firm based in Knoxville, Tennessee that specializes in senior living organizations. The acquisition expands Propel's senior living practice, strengthens its southeast presence (Knoxville and Charlotte hubs) and adds industry expertise to Propel's national platform; the combined agency will generate more than $120 million of annual revenue and operate seven U.S. offices.

Omnicom Acquires Flywheel Digital

Omnicom has agreed to acquire Flywheel Digital, the digital commerce business of Ascential, for approximately $835 million in net cash. The acquisition brings Flywheel's commerce platform and services — including retail commerce operations, media execution, and market intelligence supported by Flywheel Commerce Cloud — into Omnicom to deepen its capabilities in e-commerce, retail media and digital commerce.
