The add-on expands FMD's manufacturing and service capabilities for shipyard, defense and industrial customers, with particular emphasis on support for the U.S. Nuclear Navy.

Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD), a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management, has agreed to acquire Rolls-Royce’s Naval Propulsors & Handling business, including manufacturing campuses in Pascagoula, Mississippi and Walpole, Massachusetts, with the Peterborough, Ontario handling facility to transfer later. The acquisition expands FMD’s naval propulsion, foundry and handling capabilities to better serve U.S. and allied navies and preserves critical manufacturing capacity for the U.S. Navy supply chain.

The M. K. Morse Company Acquires PJ Wiseman Ltd.

The M. K. Morse Company acquired longtime UK distribution partner and welding center PJ Wiseman Ltd., effective January 3, 2023. The acquisition gives Morse a UK foothold and warehouse/welding capability in North Yorkshire, with PJ Wiseman founder Paul Wiseman exiting as part of a retirement transition and daughter Gemma Harling remaining on staff.
