The Kent Companies, a family-owned convenience store and fuels operator based in Midland, Texas, has acquired B&B Petroleum, LLC — a Ponchatoula, Louisiana-based operator of 15 Chevron-branded convenience stores (including Subway and Red Bird Café locations). The acquisition expands Kent's Kent Kwik footprint into Louisiana as part of a five-year strategy to grow eastward across the Southeast.

BKV Corporation acquired one-half of Banpu Power US Corporation’s (BPPUS) interest in BKV-BPP Power, LLC for approximately $115.1 million in cash and 5,315,390 newly issued BKV common shares, increasing BKV’s ownership in the power joint venture to 75% from 50%. The transaction gives BKV majority control of the JV (which owns the Temple I and II combined-cycle gas power plants in Temple, Texas) to consolidate results and accelerate expansion of its power operations in the ERCOT market.

United Refining Co. of Pennsylvania has acquired the convenience retail assets of Pump N' Pantry Inc., a 14-store regional convenience-store chain based in Montrose, Pennsylvania. United Refining will rebrand the stores into its Kwik Fill and Red Apple banners and integrate the locations into its existing retail network across Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio.
