InMotion Hosting, via its acquisitions arm Web Ventures, has acquired Atlanta-based RamNode, a provider of high-performance unmanaged VPS hosting. The deal brings RamNode's customers, staff and five data centers into the InMotion/Web Ventures family while keeping the RamNode brand and team intact to continue operating independently and support OpenStack-driven product expansion, including extended infrastructure into Europe.

Awesome Motive Acquires Sandhills Development's WordPress Products and Team

Awesome Motive has acquired Sandhills Development’s entire suite of WordPress products and services, along with the associated product teams, including AffiliateWP, Easy Digital Downloads, Sugar Calendar, WP Simple Pay, and the Payouts Service. The acquisition transfers stewardship of the products and team to Awesome Motive so Sandhills founder Pippin Williamson can step away from WordPress and focus on conservation efforts.

Virtual, Inc. acquired Ottawa-based digital marketing agency inMotion DVS, Inc. and Massachusetts-based event production firm DMI Consulting to expand its web, video, digital marketing and event production capabilities for associations and enterprise clients. inMotion will remain a Canadian corporation under President Jamie McIntosh while the DMI team will support Virtual's in-person and online client events with strategic planning and on-site management services.
