Odyssey Investment Partners has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Protective Industrial Products, Inc. (PIP), a global supplier of personal protective equipment, from Audax Private Equity. PIP’s management, including CEO Joe Milot, will remain in place and the Milot and Tao families will retain a significant ownership stake as Odyssey pursues organic growth and strategic add-on opportunities for the business.

The deal adds well-known brands (including Howard Leight, North, Miller, Salisbury and others), expands PIP's product offering and global footprint, and represents a divestiture by Honeywell to simplify its portfolio.

The acquisition expands Ficodis' Canadian footprint, strengthens its occupational health and safety offering, and adds Tytan's online ordering, VMI and distribution capabilities to support faster nationwide delivery.

Pinnacle Textile Industries Acquires Topps Safety Apparel

Pinnacle Textile Industries, a King of Prussia, Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of service apparel, has acquired the majority of the assets of Topps Safety Apparel, a Rochester, Indiana-based maker of flame-resistant and public safety garments. The acquisition brings Topps' fire-resistant safety brand into Pinnacle's product portfolio and expands Pinnacle's distribution into oil & gas, utility and wildland firefighting end markets; terms were not disclosed.
