Xperi Holding Corporation acquired Vewd Software Holdings Limited for $109 million in cash and debt to accelerate entry into the Connected TV and streaming media market and expand TiVo's streaming platform footprint. The deal adds roughly 275 employees and an installed European device footprint of about 15 million devices, positioning Xperi as a leading independent provider of Smart TV middleware.
