Boston Scientific Acquires Relievant Medsystems, Inc.

Boston Scientific Corporation agreed to acquire Relievant Medsystems, Inc. to expand its neuromodulation portfolio and add the Intracept intraosseous nerve ablation system for vertebrogenic chronic low back pain. The deal includes an $850 million upfront cash payment plus contingent payments tied to sales, and is expected to close in the first half of 2024; Relievant was projected to generate more than $70 million in sales in 2023.
