Foundation Software Acquires McCormick Systems

Foundation Software, a provider of construction back-office solutions, has acquired McCormick Systems, a Chandler, Arizona–based developer of estimating and digital takeoff software for electrical, plumbing and mechanical trades. The acquisition expands Foundation's product capabilities into estimating and digital takeoff, enabling the company to offer a broader, industry-specific suite to contractors nationwide; terms were not disclosed.

Procore Acquires Esticom

Thoma Bravo Acquires Foundation Software

Thoma Bravo has completed a strategic growth investment to acquire Foundation Software, a provider of construction accounting software and payroll services for small- to mid-sized specialty contractors. Founder & CEO Fred Ode will retain a minority ownership stake, and the transaction was financed by funds managed by affiliates of The Private Credit Group of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, BlackRock US Private Credit and Interbank.

Autodesk Acquires ProEst

Autodesk announced it is acquiring ProEst, a cloud-based construction estimating solution, and will integrate ProEst into Autodesk Construction Cloud to strengthen its preconstruction and cost estimation capabilities. The deal is expected to close in Autodesk’s fourth quarter of fiscal 2022 and is intended to expand Autodesk Construction Cloud’s preconstruction offerings and improve end-to-end cost visibility for construction teams.
