Kadant Inc. Acquires KWS Manufacturing Company, Ltd.

Kadant Inc. completed the acquisition of KWS Manufacturing Company, Ltd. for approximately $84 million in cash, financed primarily through borrowings under Kadant's revolving credit facility. KWS, based in Burleson, Texas, is a manufacturer of screw conveyors, screw feeders, slide gates, and bucket elevators serving food, chemical, and wood process industries; it has about 165 employees and reported $45 million in trailing twelve‑month revenue. The business will join Kadant's Material Handling reporting segment to expand product portfolios and internal capabilities.

Sandvik Acquires QTE Manufacturing Solutions

Sandvik AB has acquired QTE Manufacturing Solutions (QTE), a US-based reseller of Mastercam CAM software as well as Verisurf metrology and Vericut CNC simulation software. QTE, headquartered in St. Charles, Missouri, has 12 employees and reported around SEK 45 million in revenue in 2024; it will become part of Sandvik's Mastercam business unit within the Machining and Intelligent Manufacturing area. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Quad Capital Partners, a private investment firm focused on middle-market manufacturing companies, has acquired Worldwide Technologies (WWT), a precision CNC machining and fabrication business with facilities in Franklin and Glasgow, Kentucky. The transaction provides QCP a flagship manufacturing platform with advanced automation and engineering capabilities; WWT employs more than 150 people and operates over 100 CNC machines.

The acquisition brings Xcentric's injection molding, CNC machining and rapid prototyping capacity (nearly 100 employees and ~60,000 sq ft in Clinton Township, Michigan) into Quickparts' platform; terms were not disclosed.
