Marcone, a Genstar Capital portfolio company and leading North American distributor of appliance, HVAC and plumbing parts, has acquired Great Plains/Pool & Spa Products, a family-owned regional pool and spa equipment and parts distributor with operations in Kansas City and Houston. The acquisition represents Marcone's entry into the pool and spa distribution market and will be used to grow Marcone's national distribution footprint and pursue additional M&A in the space.

Harvest Partners SCF, LP made a non-control investment in Marcone to support the transaction; Ridgemont Equity Partners sold its stake and will retain a meaningful minority interest alongside Munch's management.

Sterling Infrastructure Acquires Professional Plumbers Group

Sterling Infrastructure, Inc. (Nasdaq: STRL) acquired Professional Plumbers Group, Incorporated (PPG), a Wylie, Texas-based plumbing contractor serving residential home builders in the Dallas area, for $50 million in cash plus an earnout. PPG, which generates approximately $50–55 million in annual revenue, will join Sterling's Building Solutions segment to expand its residential plumbing capabilities and cross-sell to its existing builder customers in the Dallas market.

The add-on expands Munch’s/Marcone’s footprint in the Northeast (bringing the platform to 103 locations across 18 states plus Ontario) and reinforces its position in HVAC and plumbing parts distribution; the deal was supported by advisors including TM Capital and BMO Capital Markets.
