Fraser Valley Building Supplies Acquires Maglio Building Centres (Nelson & Trail)

Fraser Valley Building Supplies, a RONA-affiliated regional builder’s merchant, has acquired the Maglio Building Centres in Nelson and Trail, British Columbia, from Tony Maglio and family. The two locations will be rebranded to the RONA banner, expanded with new product categories and online shopping, and integrated into Fraser Valley’s existing BC store network as part of a strategy to consolidate the region and expand offerings to contractors and DIY customers.

Cairngorm Capital Partners has acquired Fairalls (Builders' Merchants) Limited, adding it to its existing building merchant businesses Parkers Building Supplies and Stamco to create the largest independent builders' merchant group in the South East of England. The enlarged group operates 24 branches with over 500 employees and combined revenues of approximately £120 million; Fairalls itself reported c.£15m revenue and about 85 employees and will continue to trade under the Fairalls brand with Richard Fairall remaining involved during the transition.

The bolt-on deal expands ACS's building materials distribution capacity and local service footprint in North Central Minnesota and the greater Minneapolis–St. Paul market; financial terms were not disclosed.
