Westlake Chemical Acquires Boral's North American Building Products Businesses

Westlake Chemical Corporation completed the acquisition of Boral Limited's North American building products businesses (roofing; siding, trim and shutters; decorative stone; and windows) for $2.15 billion in an all-cash transaction. The deal roughly doubles Westlake's building-products portfolio, adds approximately 4,600 employees across 29 manufacturing sites in the United States and Mexico, and broadens Westlake's product lines and geographic footprint in the North American housing and light commercial markets.
