CapitalWorks Invests in Electromechanical Research Laboratories (ERL) and Law Valve of Texas

Cleveland-based private equity firm CapitalWorks completed a majority investment in Electromechanical Research Laboratories, Inc. (ERL) of New Albany, Indiana, alongside ERL President and CEO Stephen Wilkins and the ERL management team. ERL is a long-established manufacturer and repair-service provider of pumps, valves, gauging and overfill protection for the inland marine (tank barge) and rail markets; the deal includes ERL’s subsidiary Law Valve of Texas, a Houston-area on-barge repair and support business.
