Thomson Reuters Acquires SurePrep, LLC

Thomson Reuters Corporation completed its previously announced $500 million cash acquisition of SurePrep, a California-based leader in 1040 tax automation software and services. SurePrep—whose products (including 1040SCAN, SPbinder and TaxCaddy) are used by tens of thousands of tax professionals—will join Thomson Reuters' Tax & Accounting Professionals operations to expand cloud-based tax automation capabilities and accelerate integrated workflows for accounting customers.
