ReneSola Ltd (ReneSola Power) completed an all-cash acquisition of Emeren Limited, a United Kingdom-based developer of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects, on October 10, 2022. The deal adds Emeren’s ~2.5 GW development pipeline and development expertise in Italy and other European markets to ReneSola’s European growth strategy.

ENGIE Ineo Acquires Powerlines from Gilde Buy Out Partners

ENGIE Ineo has agreed to acquire Powerlines, a European full-service provider of electrical rail and high-voltage infrastructure, from funds advised by Gilde Buy Out Partners. Powerlines, headquartered near Vienna and employing more than 1,000 people, will join ENGIE Ineo to create an international platform for transport infrastructure projects and offer turnkey energy and rail electrification solutions.

Equistone Acquires Majority Stake in RENA Group

Funds advised by Equistone Partners Europe have acquired a majority interest in the RENA group from funds advised by Capvis AG. RENA, headquartered in Gütenbach, Germany, is a manufacturer of wet-chemical surface treatment machinery with around 800 employees and annual output above €120 million; Equistone will partner with management to support continued growth, R&D and expansion into adjacent markets subject to regulatory clearance.

Enel Acquires Demand Energy Networks, Inc.

Italian utility Enel (through its North America renewables unit) acquired 100% of U.S.-based Demand Energy Networks, Inc., a developer and operator of energy storage systems and the DEN.OS energy management software, for an undisclosed amount. Enel said the deal will strengthen its position in the battery storage market and allow rapid global scaling of Demand Energy's software and project capabilities across Enel's renewables portfolio.

Dussmann Group Acquires Lynskey Engineering

German facility services group Dussmann Group has acquired Dublin-headquartered mechanical building services contractor Lynskey Engineering. The deal strengthens Dussmann Technical Solutions' mechanical engineering and maintenance capabilities in Ireland and complements its existing electrical services portfolio; Lynskey employs around 120 people and generates roughly €60m in annual revenue, and the purchase price was not disclosed.

Loenbro Acquires Stewart Electric to Expand Data Center Capabilities

Loenbro, a Westminster, Colorado-based lifecycle infrastructure services provider backed by Braemont Capital, has acquired Stewart Electric, a Nevada-based electrical services firm focused on the data center market. The add-on acquisition strengthens Loenbro’s mission-critical electrical capabilities and expands its geographic footprint into Stewart’s southeastern U.S. data center markets; financial terms were not disclosed.
