Chart Industries Invests $25M for 5% Stake in Transform Materials

Chart Industries completed a $25 million minority investment to acquire a 5% equity stake in Transform Materials and signed a commercial Memorandum of Understanding to supply equipment for Transform projects. The investment gives Chart access to Transform's microwave-plasma process for producing hydrogen and acetylene, expanding Chart's clean-hydrogen equipment and service offerings and supporting planned plant builds in North America and Europe.

Chart Industries Acquires Worthington Industries' Cryogenic and Hydrogen Trailer Business

Chart Industries completed the acquisition of Worthington Industries' cryogenic trailer and hydrogen trailer transport assets, including the Theodore, Alabama manufacturing site, related IP, equipment and repair backlog. The facility (approximately 300,000 sq ft) and its employees will join Chart as the company expands its mobile cryogenics and hydrogen transport capabilities, with expected hydrogen-related revenue from the site of $15–20 million in 2021 (with upside).

Chart Industries Acquires BlueInGreen, LLC

Chart Industries (NASDAQ: GTLS) completed the acquisition of BlueInGreen, LLC, a water cleantech company specializing in dissolved-gas solutions for water treatment, for $20 million in cash plus a potential earn-out. The purchase expands Chart’s water-treatment and service capabilities by combining Chart’s cryogenic and gas delivery equipment with BlueInGreen’s gas-dissolution technology and TaaS/service offerings to serve municipal and industrial end markets.

Gallagher Industrial Products Acquires Charts Ltd

Gallagher Fluid Handling, a subsidiary of Gallagher Industrial Products, completed the acquisition of Charts, Ltd., a Midland, Texas manufacturer of gas measurement devices, on January 1, 2023. The deal adds American-made gas measurement and chart recording capabilities and a flagship facility in the Permian Basin to Gallagher's industrial product portfolio to support growth in the oil & gas market.

Farinart Acquires Malterie Frontenac

Farinart, a Canadian grain-processing specialist based in Saint-Liboire, Quebec, announced the acquisition of all assets of Malterie Frontenac, a malting and sprouting specialist based in Thetford Mines, Quebec. The deal adds sprouting and malting capabilities to Farinart's specialty-grain and baking ingredient offering and complements its existing product set as the company expands service to its large U.S. customer base.
