Meridian Adhesives Group, the adhesives platform backed by Arsenal Capital Partners, acquired Epoxies, Etc., a Cranston, Rhode Island-based formulator of specialty epoxies, urethanes and silicones. The add-on expands Meridian’s product portfolio and extends its presence into high-growth end markets including electronics, infrastructure/aerospace and medical applications.

Meridian Adhesives Group Acquires Adhesives Division of John P. Kummer

Meridian Adhesives Group announced the acquisition of the adhesives division of John P. Kummer (JPK), a European distributor of specialty materials for the electronics and medical markets. The adhesives business will be combined with Meridian-owned Epoxy Technology Europe Limited to form Epoxy Technology Europe GmbH; the equipment division of JPK will remain a separate entity. The deal is expected to close on April 30, 2020.

The acquisition is an add-on to Meridian’s Industrial Product Assembly Division and expands its presence in the HVAC, insulation and indoor air quality markets under new owner American Securities.

Meridian Adhesives Group Acquires E-Chem

Meridian Adhesives Group has acquired E-Chem, a New Mexico-based designer and manufacturer of epoxy polymer products for concrete. E-Chem will join Meridian’s Infrastructure Division to expand Meridian’s presence in the infrastructure and concrete rehabilitation markets and leverage Meridian’s distributor network and resources to accelerate product development and market penetration.

Meridian Adhesives Group Acquires Adhesives Division of Tri-Tex Co. Inc.

Meridian Adhesives Group has acquired the adhesives division of Canadian chemical manufacturer Tri-Tex Co. Inc., adding hot melt, water‑based, pressure‑sensitive and general‑purpose adhesives to Meridian’s Packaging Division. The deal expands Meridian’s packaging adhesive product lines and geographic footprint; Tri‑Tex concurrently sold its Dyes & Pigments and Surfactants divisions to Polyventive.

Meridian Adhesives Group has acquired Pacific Adhesive Systems (PAS), a Malaysia-based manufacturer of high-performance adhesives, coatings and thermal interface materials serving electronics, semiconductor and medical markets. PAS will join Meridian’s Electronics Division, expanding Meridian’s footprint and product/service capabilities across Asia.
