TransWood Acquires Jensen Transport

TransWood, a family-owned nationwide bulk carrier based in Omaha, Nebraska, purchased Jensen Transport of Minnesota effective July 12, 2021; terms were not disclosed. The acquisition adds Jensen’s tank-truck operations — which haul bio-fuels, anhydrous ammonia and LPGs — and expands TransWood’s regional bulk liquids and dry-bulk footprint and operating capacity.

Offen Petroleum Acquires Petromark (Petromark, Inc. & Petromark Transportation, LLC)

Offen Petroleum, a Court Square Capital-backed fuel distributor, agreed to acquire the business assets of Petromark, Inc. and its affiliate Petromark Transportation, LLC, both headquartered in Harrison, Arkansas. The add-on expands Offen’s footprint in the Ozark region (Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma) and brings Petromark owners Stephen Lair and Steve Turner into transitional roles, with Steve Turner serving as an advisor.

TravelCenters of America Acquires Two Virginia Travel Centers for $45M

TravelCenters of America Inc. (TA) completed the acquisition of two Interstate 81 travel center locations — Petro Raphine and TA Lexington — for $45 million. The sites, franchised since 2011, are expected to generate approximately $9.0 million of site-level EBITDA in 2023, and Petro Raphine is undergoing renovations to expand retail space and add 170 truck parking spaces (bringing it to nearly 900 spaces).

Eagle Transport Corporation Acquires Bulk Carriers, Inc.

The acquisition expands Eagle Transport’s dry bulk transportation capacity and regional footprint, adding Bulk Carriers’ tractors, trailers and experienced operations team to Eagle’s southeastern network.

JM Family Enterprises Acquires National Truck Protection from Kinderhook Industries

JM Family Enterprises, through its JM&A Group division, acquired National Truck Protection (NTP) from Kinderhook Industries. NTP, headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is a leading administrator of vehicle service contracts for used commercial vehicles and will become a division of JM&A Group to expand JM Family's F&I and protection product offerings.
