Metro Compactor Service Acquires Miller Waste Solutions Group

Metro Compactor Service has acquired Miller Waste Solutions Group (formerly WSG), the service-and-manufacturing division of Miller Waste Systems, to expand its waste- and recycling-equipment capabilities in Ontario. The deal increases Metro's fleet and technician capacity to better serve multi-residential, commercial and construction customers across the province.

Northstar Recycling Company, LLC has acquired Waste Technology Services, LLC, combining two asset-light providers of managed waste, byproduct management and environmental consulting to strengthen technical capabilities and expand sustainability-oriented services. WTS, founded in 1982 and headquartered in Lewiston, New York, will join Northstar's platform (PE-backed after a 2021 recapitalization led by Ridgemont Equity Partners) to deliver broader recycling, reuse and reclamation solutions across specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, high-technology and industrial end markets.

TorQuest Partners Acquires North West Rubber Ltd.

TorQuest Partners has completed the acquisition of North West Rubber Ltd. (NWR) from Krystal Growth Partners. NWR, founded in 1968 and headquartered in Abbotsford, British Columbia, is a manufacturer and distributor of recycled and virgin rubber matting and flooring products with over 220 employees and manufacturing facilities in Abbotsford, Brantford and Houston; NWR's management will remain significant investors as TorQuest supports the company's next phase of growth.

GFL Environmental Acquires Terrapure Environmental's Solid Waste and Environmental Solutions Business for C$927.5M

GFL Environmental Inc. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the solid waste and environmental solutions business of Terrapure Environmental Ltd. and its subsidiaries for an aggregate purchase price of C$927.5 million (excluding Terrapure's battery recycling business). The acquired operations serve more than 7,000 customers across Canada, operate an integrated network of assets (including the Stoney Creek landfill), generated ~C$365 million of revenue in 2020 and employ approximately 1,600 people; GFL expects meaningful synergies and expanded regional capabilities.

Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) has acquired Waste Partners Environmental, Inc. from Tejas Investment Partners. The deal expands SCA's Texas presence by adding more than 175 employees and 125 trucks across seven Texas facilities, making SCA the largest sweeping services provider in Texas.
