Nidec Corporation, through its subsidiary Nidec Motor Corporation, acquired full ownership of TAR, LLC d/b/a Houma Armature Works, a US-based motor and generator remanufacturing and field service provider. The acquisition expands Nidec's aftermarket and service capabilities in North America—particularly in oil & gas, marine, and renewable energy end markets—and consolidates Houma as a Nidec subsidiary.

Fairbanks Morse, a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management, has acquired Ward Leonard Operating, LLC, a provider of motors and electronic control solutions for military and marine applications. The deal expands Fairbanks Morse's power and propulsion product portfolio and aftermarket service capabilities for core customers including the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and Canadian Coast Guard; terms were not disclosed.

Industrial Service Solutions (ISS) has acquired full ownership of San Antonio Armature Works (SAAW), a nearly 100-year-old electromechanical service provider based in San Antonio, Texas. The deal (completed May 12, 2022) expands ISS's rotating-equipment and motor/pump service footprint in South Texas while retaining SAAW leadership, employees, and its San Antonio facility.

Torque Capital Acquires Remy Aftermarket Light Vehicle Business from BorgWarner

Torque Capital's investor group has completed the purchase of the North American and European light vehicle aftermarket business of Remy, Inc. from BorgWarner Inc., acquiring Remy's North American rotating electrical remanufacturing business, the Maval power steering business, and Remy Europe rotator remanufacturing operations. The deal creates a standalone Remy aftermarket business with David Nichols named president of the North American company.

The deal expands Jones & Frank's sales, installation and maintenance capabilities in Virginia and the greater Mid-Atlantic region; MidOcean Partners, the sponsor behind Jones & Frank, said the acquisition aligns with its strategy to build a leading petroleum equipment solutions platform.

The deal transfers Lavigne’s fuel tanks to Waring, keeps Kevin Cutrer on as an outside salesperson, and broadens Waring’s wholesale fuels, lubricants and DEF service capabilities.
