Cornerstone Global Management, Inc. has acquired Paydrop in a cash-and-stock transaction, integrating Paydrop’s leadership and payment capabilities into Cornerstone’s Hedge payroll-to-crypto conversion platform. The deal expands Cornerstone’s ability to offer crypto and blended fiat/crypto payment services to freelancers, gig workers and traditional employers across the United States.

H.I.G. Capital to Acquire Alight's Payroll and Professional Services Business

H.I.G. Capital (via an affiliate) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Payroll and Professional Services Business of Alight, Inc. for up to $1.2 billion. The business is a global provider of technology-enabled payroll, human capital management and cloud advisory/managed services (serving ~1,500 enterprise clients with ~8,000 employees); H.I.G. plans to establish it as a standalone leader and invest to expand its capabilities and growth.

PayDay Employer Solutions Acquires StarPay Payroll & HR Solutions

PayDay Employer Solutions, a Bellmawr, New Jersey-based payroll and employer services provider, has acquired StarPay Payroll & HR Solutions of Long Island (Melville/Plainview, New York). The seller will retain StarPay's local service team and owner Cheryl Frankel in a client-facing role, and the deal expands PayDay's client roster to more than 3,000 companies while preserving StarPay's existing software and reporting.

Global Payments Acquires Worldpay in Three-Way Transaction with FIS and GTCR

Global Payments has completed the acquisition of Worldpay from GTCR and FIS for $24.25 billion in cash and stock as part of a three-way transaction that also saw FIS acquire Global Payments' Issuer Solutions business for $13.5 billion. GTCR will receive a mix of cash and Global Payments stock and will retain approximately 15% ownership in the combined company; the transactions reposition Global Payments as a leading pure-play commerce solutions provider and bolster FIS' issuing capabilities.

CBIZ Acquires BeyondPay, Inc.

The acquisition adds ~40 employees and ~$4.6 million in annual revenue to CBIZ's HR and payroll capabilities to accelerate growth in its Centrally HR practice.

HR Path Acquires Pay Human Group
