HomeServices of America Acquires Five Brokerage and Moving Companies to Expand Coast-to-Coast Footprint

HomeServices of America, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate, purchased five companies — Bennion Deville Homes; Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Alliance Real Estate and Alliance Title Group; Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida; Hegg Realtors; and Joe Moholland Moving — to expand its national footprint and add sales associates, transactions and closed sales volume. The deals add roughly 1,400 sales associates, 15,000 transactions and nearly $8 billion in closed sales volume, accelerating HomeServices' geographic expansion and support for a "customer-for-life" model.

Western Alliance Bancorporation Acquires AmeriHome Mortgage Company

Western Alliance Bancorporation has executed a definitive agreement to acquire Aris Mortgage Holding Company, the parent of AmeriHome Mortgage Company, for an estimated aggregate purchase price of $1.0 billion in cash (including $275 million cash consideration plus adjusted tangible book value). The deal brings a national B2B mortgage acquirer and servicer to Western Alliance — AmeriHome purchased about $65 billion of originations in 2020 and managed a $99 billion mortgage servicing portfolio as of December 31, 2020 — and is expected to be accretive to earnings and enhance fee / non-interest income.

Bayview Asset Management Acquires HomeVestors of America from Levine Leichtman Capital Partners

Funds managed by Bayview Asset Management acquired HomeVestors of America, the Dallas-based franchisor behind the "We Buy Ugly Houses" brand, from Levine Leichtman Capital Partners. The deal transfers ownership of the leading residential real estate investment franchisor to Bayview, which focuses on residential, consumer and mortgage-related investments.

American Construction Source Acquires Homewood Holdings

American Construction Source (ACS), a PE-backed national lumber and building materials distributor, has acquired Homewood Holdings, a regional LBM pro dealer operating eight locations across California, Washington and Arizona. ACS — backed by Angeles Equity Partners and Clearlake Capital — will operate Homewood under its existing local brands as part of ACS's platform expansion in the Western U.S.; financial terms were not disclosed.

Fathom Holdings Acquires Arizona-based My Home Group

Fathom Holdings, a national technology-driven real estate services platform, has acquired Scottsdale-based My Home Group, adding more than 2,200 agents and expanding Fathom’s agent network to roughly 14,500. The deal preserves the My Home Group brand and management team and creates cross-selling opportunities for Fathom’s mortgage and title services as it strengthens its presence in Arizona.
