MPE Partners has completed an investment to acquire Intermatic LLC, a 130+-year-old Libertyville, Illinois-based manufacturer of electrical and mechanical controls for lighting, irrigation, HVAC/R and pool & spa applications. The transaction, from the founding Kinney family, positions Intermatic for accelerated product innovation (including digital and integrated controls), continued penetration of electrical distribution channels, and potential complementary add-on acquisitions.

Evoqua Water Technologies Acquires Aquapure Technologies

Commercial Energy Specialists Holdings LLC (dba Aquafinity), a Turning Basin Capital and Vigeo Investments-backed platform, has acquired Aquatic Environmental Systems, Inc. (AES), a Tempe, Arizona-based provider of full-service water treatment solutions for commercial and institutional swimming pools in Arizona, New Mexico and west Texas. The add-on deal, which closed June 30, 2023, expands Aquafinity’s geographic presence in the Southwest; terms were not disclosed.

Waterlogic Americas Acquires Aqua Systems

Waterlogic Americas has acquired Aqua Systems, a Richmond, Virginia-based drinking water systems service provider founded by Brad Meredith in 2006. The deal expands Waterlogic's presence and density across Virginia (including Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, Warrenton, Newport News and Norfolk) and represents Waterlogic Americas' 10th acquisition of 2021.

Aquatic Informatics is a water-focused software provider (serving more than 1,000 customers globally) whose data management and analytics capabilities will be integrated with Danaher’s Hach Claros offering to expand the platform’s hardware, software and services capabilities for municipal, environmental and industrial customers.

Ingersoll Rand Acquires APSCO, Blutek and UT Pumps in $135M Bolt-on Deal

Ingersoll Rand Inc. acquired Air Power Systems Co., LLC (APSCO), Blutek s.r.l., and UT Pumps & Systems Private Limited in bolt-on transactions for a combined purchase price of approximately $135 million. The acquisitions add more than $50 million of combined revenue and expand Ingersoll Rand's pump, compressor and fluid-handling technologies and aftermarket capabilities across the United States, Italy and India.
