Enlightenment Capital-backed Aeyon has acquired Manufacturing Technical Solutions (MTS) and Marick Group to expand its automation, analytics, robotic process automation (RPA) and human capital management capabilities in the federal market. Aeyon — formed by the merger of Artlin Consulting and Sehlke Consulting — now has roughly 650 employees and strengthened its presence in Huntsville, Alabama and federal civilian and defense markets.

Enlightenment Capital has made an undisclosed growth investment in Vienna, Virginia-based Artlin Consulting through its Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) fund to support the company's next phase of growth. Artlin — a data management and professional services provider to Defense and civilian agencies and an incumbent on Washington Headquarters Services contracts — will use the capital at least in part to pursue acquisitions.

CGI Federal Acquires Aeyon

CGI Federal Inc., the U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Inc., has completed the acquisition of Aeyon, a digital transformation and AI provider to U.S. federal agencies. The deal, which involves Aeyon (backed by Enlightenment Capital), expands CGI’s data, analytics and intelligent automation capabilities and strengthens its relationships with national security and civilian agencies such as the DoD, FAA and NASA.

Enlightenment Capital Forms Auria by Merging Four Portfolio Companies

Enlightenment Capital has combined four portfolio companies—Boecore, Ascension Engineering Group, Orbit Logic, and La Jolla Logic—into a new space-focused platform called Auria, based in Colorado Springs. Auria will deliver mission planning, space domain awareness, satellite communications management and cybersecurity capabilities and will employ more than 400 people across the combined businesses. The consolidation is intended to broaden the customer base, expand capabilities and create a mid-tier contractor in the space and defense market.

Bain Capital Acquires Apleona from PAI Partners
