MPI Corporation, an Indianapolis-based investment holding company, has acquired Precision Stampings, Inc. (PSI), a Beaumont, California-based manufacturer of precision metal stampings and micro/nano connectors. The acquisition expands MPI's manufacturing holdings and capabilities across aerospace, medical, automotive and electronics end markets.

The add-on expands PrecisionX's stamping capabilities and capacity, deepening its presence in medical device and aerospace & defense end markets; Monroe Capital provided senior credit financing to support the transaction.

Willis & Smith Capital Acquires Performance Stamping

Willis & Smith Capital acquired Performance Stamping, LLC, a Carpentersville, Illinois-based metal stamping provider; the transaction closed on August 7, 2023. Performance Stamping's existing management will remain in place (Peter Martel as CEO; founder Scott Spencer to stay on as an advisor), and the company will be added to Willis & Smith’s fabrication and machining platform alongside J&E Companies.

PrecisionX Group, a portfolio company of CORE Industrial Partners, has acquired National Manufacturing Co., a Piscataway, New Jersey-based specialist in deep and shallow drawn metal stamping and precision CNC machining. The deal expands the PrecisionX platform’s manufacturing capabilities and capacity—particularly in medical and aerospace end markets—adding National’s 90,000 sq. ft. facility and extensive tooling and finishing capabilities to the platform.
