WonderFi Technologies Acquires Bitbuy (First Ledger Corp.)

WonderFi Technologies Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire First Ledger Corp., the parent of Bitbuy Technologies Inc., Canada's first approved crypto marketplace, in a transaction valued at approximately CAD $206 million. The deal (70 million WonderFi shares, $20M upfront cash and $30M vendor take-back note) adds over 375,000 users, CAD $455 million in assets under custody and more than 80 employees to WonderFi, expanding its licensed fiat on‑ramp, OTC capabilities and product suite.

Robinhood Acquires WonderFi for CA$250M to Enter Canadian Market

Robinhood is acquiring Canada-based crypto trading platform WonderFi in an all-cash deal valued at approximately $178.56 million (CA$250 million). The acquisition gives Robinhood access to WonderFi’s regulated platforms (Bitbuy and Coinsquare), more than 1.6 million registered Canadian users and roughly C$1 billion in assets under custody, accelerating Robinhood’s expansion into Canada.

Wondr Gaming Corp. Acquires JoyBox Media Inc.

Wondr Gaming Corp. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all issued and outstanding common shares of JoyBox Media Inc., a media network and influencer marketing agency, in a transaction comprised of common shares of Wondr and cash payments tied to revenue milestones. The acquisition is intended to add viral content, influencer marketing and campaign capabilities to Wondr’s NFT, loyalty and media offerings and is expected to close around early November 2021 (closing later announced in March 2022).

Forte Acquires N3TWORK's Technology Platform

As part of the deal, N3TWORK's games teams will form a new independent studio (N3TWORK Studios) while N3TWORK founder Neil Young joins Forte to lead its Games Industry business unit, accelerating Forte's blockchain gaming capabilities.

Ripple Acquires Fortress Trust

Foundry Acquires Upstate Interactive

Foundry Digital LLC, a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group (DCG), has acquired Upstate Interactive, a women-owned Web3 software development and consulting firm founded in Syracuse, New York. The Upstate Interactive team will join Foundry and their capabilities will be integrated into Foundry's staking and digital-asset infrastructure services to expand product and service offerings for institutional clients.
