LBMX Acquires Buying Group Services (BGS)

LBMX Inc., a London, Ontario–based business marketplace platform provider, acquired Buying Group Services (BGS) in an all‑shares transaction effective January 1, 2022. The acquisition adds managed services capabilities to LBMX's existing EDI, PIM and eCommerce offerings, enabling expanded services (including central payments and PIM enrichment) for independent distributors, buying groups and suppliers across end markets such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building materials and food service equipment.

LRT Group Acquires XGS

LRT Group has acquired Xpress Global Systems (XGS), a Chattanooga-based logistics provider focused on flooring distribution and LTL services. The acquisition is intended to strengthen LRT Group’s less‑than‑truckload (LTL) capabilities and expand XGS’s geographic coverage and service levels, particularly into the Southeast.

B&G Foods Acquires Frozen Vegetable Manufacturing Operations of Growers Express

B&G Foods, Inc. acquired the frozen vegetable manufacturing operations of Growers Express, LLC, including inventory, equipment, a sublease for part of a Yuma, Arizona manufacturing facility and a lease for a warehouse in San Luis, Arizona. Approximately 155 employees will transfer to B&G Foods; the company also repurchased the master license agreement for certain Green Giant Fresh products. The transaction was funded with cash on hand and borrowings under B&G's existing credit facility; terms were not disclosed.

UPS Acquires MNX Global Logistics from Quad‑C Management

UPS has completed the acquisition of MNX Global Logistics, a U.S.-based time-critical logistics provider, from private equity firm Quad‑C Management. The deal expands UPS’s time-critical and healthcare logistics capabilities, adding MNX’s expertise in life sciences, medical device shipments and mission-critical parts delivery to UPS’s healthcare and global logistics offerings.

Jones Logistics Acquires Nationwide Express

Jones Logistics (a portfolio company of Jones Capital) has acquired Nationwide Express, a Central Tennessee-based provider of dedicated trucking, warehousing, 3PL, recycling transportation and waste management services. The deal expands JoLo’s geographic footprint across the Southeast and enhances its service offerings (warehousing, intermodal and managed transportation), increasing the combined company's scale and capabilities.

LFM Capital Acquires Novex, Inc.

LFM Capital, a Nashville-based private equity firm, has partnered with Novex, Inc., a Wadsworth, Ohio manufacturer and distributor of polyurethane belting and sheeting. Chuck Lynn, Novex's founder and CEO, and his family will remain significant investors as LFM works with the Novex team to expand capacity, grow organically, and pursue strategic acquisitions.
