Katabat Acquires Simplicity Collection Software

Katabat, a Wilmington-based debt management software provider, has acquired Simplicity Collection Software of Idaho Falls, Idaho to broaden its suite of debt collection products and accelerate reach into small-to-medium collection agencies, health care providers and law firms. Terms were not disclosed; the deal expands Katabat's product coverage and leverages Simplicity's SimplicityCollect platform to serve additional first- and third-party clients.

Ontario Systems, a provider of enterprise workflow automation software, acquired Katabat, a cloud-based debt-collection platform, to expand its collections workflow footprint into the first-party collections market. The deal brings Katabat’s machine-learning driven collections capabilities and customer base into Ontario’s suite of accounts receivable management solutions to improve recovery rates and broaden market coverage.

Simpli.fi, a Fort Worth-based programmatic advertising platform (backed by GTCR), has acquired The Advantage Software Company, a Mooresville-based agency ERP and media-management software provider. The deal (a majority exit by Carousel Capital) combines omni-channel programmatic capabilities with agency accounting, project and media management to serve over 1,000 agencies and create an integrated workflow across media planning, buying, tracking and reconciliation.
