Element Logic Acquires SDI Industries

Norway-based warehouse automation integrator Element Logic has acquired SDI Industries, a Los Angeles-headquartered provider of turnkey automation and sortation systems, expanding Element Logic's footprint into the United States and Latin America. Element Logic is majority-owned by Castik Capital, and SDI's management will reinvest and remain jointly responsible for the U.S. business; the deal adds more than 200 experts and extends Element Logic's AutoStore integration and sortation capabilities.

Castik Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Element Logic

Funds managed by Castik Capital have agreed to acquire a majority stake in Element Logic, partnering with co-founders Dag-Adler Blakseth and Kjell Blakseth plus the management team and employees. Castik will support Element Logic's rapid organic expansion across Europe and help expand its service and software capabilities, with Ares providing financing and several advisors engaged on both sides.

Colson Group Acquires ARBCO Industries

Colson Group Holdings has acquired ARBCO Industries, LLC, a 56-year-old Export, Pennsylvania-based manufacturer and leading North American producer of phenolic wheels. The acquisition expands Colson Group's product portfolio and U.S. manufacturing footprint; ARBCO's former owner Paul Hauck will join Colson as Director of Operations for ARBCO.

Automated Logic (Carrier) Acquires Control Solutions Ltd.

Automated Logic – Canada, Ltd., part of Carrier Global Corporation, has acquired Control Solutions, Ltd., an integrated building-automation systems provider headquartered in Coquitlam, British Columbia. The deal establishes Automated Logic's first company-owned controls field office in Vancouver and expands its building-automation footprint in Western Canada; terms were not disclosed.

AMETEK Acquires Abaco Systems from Veritas Capital for $1.35B

AMETEK, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Abaco Systems, Inc. from Veritas Capital in an all-cash transaction valued at $1.35 billion. Abaco, headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, is a provider of rugged embedded computing systems for aerospace, defense and specialized industrial markets with approximately $325 million in annual sales; the acquisition will fold Abaco into AMETEK's Electronic Instruments Group and is expected to close mid-2021 subject to customary approvals.

Accenture to Acquire Logic

Accenture has entered into an agreement to acquire Logic, a Minneapolis-based retail technology services firm that employs approximately 800 professionals and serves more than 150 retail clients worldwide. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture’s retail technology transformation capabilities across merchandising, stores, digital, analytics, cloud, and AI; terms were not disclosed and the deal is subject to customary closing conditions.
