The deal expands stp.one’s presence into Scandinavia, adds estate/insolvency administration and AI-enabled legal automation capabilities, and positions Legala as a local M&A and growth platform for further Northern European consolidation.

Bregal Unternehmerkapital has agreed to acquire STP, a Karlsruhe-based legal tech provider, from Hg. STP — which employs around 200 people and serves over 1,800 customers with workflow automation, ERP, outsourcing and data solutions for insolvency and legal practitioners — will partner with Bregal to accelerate new product and service introductions; terms were not disclosed and the deal is subject to customary approvals.
