Incline Equity Partners Invests in Smile Source

Pittsburgh-based private equity firm Incline Equity Partners announced an investment in Smile Source, a Kingwood, Texas-based private practice dental network serving more than 1,000 independent dentists. Incline said it will support Smile Source's growth by investing in sales and marketing, vendor partnerships and expanded practice solutions and member support.

Specialty Smile Partners, a doctor-led management services organization backed by Blue Sea Capital, announced strategic partnerships with four New York specialty dental practices: Albany Braces, Where Smiles Grow, Battiste Orthodontics, and Schenectady Pediatric Dentistry. The affiliations expand Specialty Smile Partners' footprint into New York and bring the practices access to centralized business services and operational support from the MSO and its PE backer.

iSmile Dental Products Acquires Dental Savings International

iSmile Dental Products, a Sacramento-based dental distributor, has acquired Dental Savings International (DSI), a Union City, New Jersey–based full-line dental supplies distributor and e-commerce platform. The deal combines DSI's East Coast distribution capabilities with iSmile's West Coast operations to create a bicoastal platform that expands product selection and shortens delivery times for customers.

Smile Doctors Acquires myOrthos

Smile Doctors has acquired myOrthos, an orthodontic support organization with over 70 affiliated locations across 13 states, expanding Smile Doctors' network to more than 550 affiliated locations in 36 states and entering four new states. The acquisition is an add-on to Smile Doctors’ platform to increase provider density in key markets while ensuring continuity of care for myOrthos’ affiliated practices and patients.

Heartland Dental (KKR) Acquires Smile Design Dentistry from Tenex Capital Management

Heartland Dental, a portfolio company of KKR, has acquired Smile Design Dentistry from Tenex Capital Management. Smile Design operates 60 dental practices across Florida with a clinical and support team of more than 300 employees; the deal (an add-on to Heartland's DSO platform) closed on September 5, 2025 and expands Heartland's presence and clinical support capabilities in Florida.

Smile Brands Acquires Midwest Dental

Smile Brands Inc., a portfolio company of Gryphon Investors, completed the acquisition of Midwest Dental, a Dental Support Organization with over 230 offices headquartered in Mondovi, Wisconsin. The combination creates one of the largest DSOs in the U.S., representing approximately 650 offices and over 8,000 employees across 30 states; terms were not disclosed.
