A. O. Smith Corporation has acquired Giant Factories, Inc., a Canada-based manufacturer of residential and commercial water heaters, for approximately $192 million in cash. The acquisition expands A. O. Smith's presence in the Canadian water heater market, adds manufacturing capacity and distribution capabilities, and is expected to be accretive to EPS in the first full year after closing.
