JM Test Systems Acquires Alabama Scale & Instrument (ASI)

JM Test Systems, a Kanbrick-backed provider of test equipment and calibration services, has acquired Alabama Scale & Instrument, Inc. (ASI) to expand its footprint in the U.S. Southeast and broaden its testing and on-site calibration capabilities. The deal is an add-on to JM Test's platform strategy following its 2023 acquisition by Kanbrick.

The add-on acquisition (closed June 10, 2021) gives JGB entry into the Canadian market, adding six locations, a complementary hose and fittings product portfolio and service capabilities to serve roughly 3,000 customers across forestry, mining, construction, agriculture and other industrial end markets.

MPM, headquartered in State College, Pennsylvania, is a manufacturer of capital equipment and provider of specialized testing services focused on the nuclear power/SMR market and other industrial end markets; the deal provides SGS with expanded technical capabilities in advanced nuclear and industrial testing.
