Shopware AG raised $100 million in growth capital from global investment firm Carlyle and payments platform PayPal to accelerate product innovation and international expansion. The Hamann founders retain a significant majority and will remain co-CEOs while Carlyle and PayPal provide capital and strategic support; Carlyle will also appoint board members.
