Edgewater Growth Capital Partners IV’s portfolio company Rensa Filtration has acquired Air Filters, Inc., a Houston-based manufacturer of pleated and HEPA air filtration products. The deal is an add-on acquisition intended to expand Rensa’s product portfolio and capabilities in commercial and industrial HVAC and critical-environment filtration.

Audax Private Equity announced the acquisition of Rensa Filtration, a U.S.-based manufacturer of mission-critical air filtration products. The transaction (terms undisclosed) represents a sponsor-to-sponsor sale from The Edgewater Funds (with prior co-investor Duchossois Capital Management); Rensa CEO Brandon Ost and management will remain in place with a significant ownership stake as Audax pursues a buy-and-build growth strategy.

Rensa Filtration, a PE-backed manufacturer and distributor of air filtration products, has acquired Air Filtration Co., Inc., a family-owned maker and distributor of spray booth and industrial air filters with production facilities in Lancaster, California and Corydon, Iowa. The deal expands Rensa's geographic footprint in California and Iowa and adds Air Filtration Co.'s spray booth filtration product line to Rensa's portfolio.

The deal expands Rensa’s manufacturing and technology capabilities in microfiber and nanofiber filter media while extending its geographic footprint across Europe and North America; financial terms were not disclosed.
