Ricoh Acquires DocuWare from Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital

Ricoh Company, Ltd. has agreed to acquire DocuWare GmbH, a Germany-headquartered provider of cloud and on‑premises document management and workflow automation software, from investment funds managed by Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital. The acquisition gives Ricoh broader content services and cloud software capabilities to serve DocuWare’s more than 12,000 customers globally.

Main Capital Partners has acquired Norwegian cloud-native document management SaaS provider Documaster from Summa Equity, which fully exited its investment. Since Summa's 2017 investment, Documaster grew more than 15x in revenue, reached profitability in 2024, and now has nearly 100 employees and ~750 customers (primarily public sector) across the Nordics and the Netherlands. Main Capital will aim to scale Documaster further across the Benelux and Nordic markets.
