A-Gas Acquires Certified Refrigerant Services

A-Gas (US) has acquired Certified Refrigerant Services, Inc. (CRS), a refrigerant recovery and service provider based in Punta Gorda, Florida. The acquisition expands A-Gas's refrigerant recovery, reclamation and service footprint in Southwest Florida as part of its ongoing build-out since the KKR investment.

Hudson Technologies Acquires USA Refrigerants

Hudson Technologies acquired USA United Suppliers of America Inc. (d/b/a USA Refrigerants) for $20.7 million, with up to $2.0 million in additional earnout consideration. USA Refrigerants is a national refrigerant distributor and longtime purchaser of recovered refrigerants; Hudson said the purchase will create a dedicated refrigerant acquisition group to expand its acquisition, reclamation and sales capabilities.

Air Water America Acquires Noble Gas Solutions

Air Water America Inc., the North American industrial gases arm of Japan-based Air Water Inc., has acquired Noble Gas Solutions, an independent gas and welding products distributor headquartered in Albany, New York. The acquisition expands Air Water's footprint and service capabilities in the New York tri‑state area and provides Noble Gas access to Air Water's broader product and technology offerings.

Honeywell Acquires Air Products' LNG Process Technology and Equipment Business for $1.81B

Honeywell has completed the $1.81 billion cash acquisition of Air Products’ liquefied natural gas (LNG) process technology and equipment business. The divestiture transfers related assets, intellectual property, manufacturing capability (including the Port Manatee, Florida coil-wound heat exchanger facility) and approximately 475 employees to Honeywell as Air Products refocuses on its industrial gases and clean hydrogen growth strategy.

TPG Rise Climate Acquires Majority Stake in A-Gas from KKR

TPG Rise Climate, the climate investing strategy of TPG, has agreed to acquire a majority stake in A-Gas, the global refrigerant gas recovery and reclamation specialist. KKR will remain a significant minority shareholder and minority investor LDC will fully exit; the transaction is expected to close by the end of 2023 subject to customary approvals.

Meritus Gas Partners Adds Global Calibration Gases

Meritus Gas Partners entered into a partnership to acquire Global Calibration Gases, LLC, a Sarasota, Florida-based manufacturer and distributor of specialty calibration gas mixtures. The deal (financial terms undisclosed) will keep Global's president Ray Borzio with the business; Meritus — a platform backed by AEA Investors Small Business Private Equity — will use the acquisition to expand its specialty gas capabilities and supply the Meritus federation.
