Appalachian Railcar Services (ARS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Cathcart Rail, acquired Progress Rail’s Amarillo, Texas railcar repair facility. The acquisition, financed by Star America Infrastructure Partners, expands ARS’s national tank- and freight-car repair network and reinforces its ability to serve customers on the UP and BNSF networks.
