CFS Brands has acquired The Foodware Group (TFG), a combination of G.E.T. and Winco, from Olympus Partners; the transaction closed October 2, 2023. The deal brings together CFS Brands' portfolio with TFG's front- and back-of-house smallwares and distribution capabilities to create a broader supplier for foodservice, healthcare and hygiene customers and to expand product, sourcing and distribution scale.

CFS Brands, a U.S.-based manufacturer of foodservice and healthcare products, has acquired Mercer Culinary, a Ronkonkoma, New York-based supplier of commercial-grade cutlery, kitchen tools, barware and apparel. Mercer will operate as a standalone business within CFS Brands as the companies integrate to expand product offerings and distribution for culinary and bar professionals.

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) has completed its acquisition of Cornerstone Building Brands, the largest manufacturer of exterior building products in North America, in an all-cash transaction with an enterprise value of approximately $5.8 billion including assumed debt. Cornerstone, headquartered in Cary, North Carolina and employing more than 20,000 people, will become a privately held company under CD&R to pursue operational improvements and accelerated growth.

FountainVest Partners Acquires CFB Group from EQT Private Equity

FountainVest Partners has acquired CFB Group, a Shanghai-headquartered multi-brand food & beverage platform operator, from EQT Private Equity (EQT Mid Market fund). The transaction closed on 30 December 2021; under EQT's ownership CFB Group expanded to more than 1,100 stores and became the world's largest franchisee of Dairy Queen and a major Papa John's franchisee in China. FountainVest will assume ownership to support the company's next phase of growth.
