Fox Corporation agreed to acquire Tubi, a leading free ad-supported streaming service, for approximately $440 million in net cash consideration. The deal expands Fox’s direct-to-consumer footprint and digital advertising capabilities while Tubi will continue to operate as an independent service under Fox.

fuboTV Acquires Edisn.ai

fuboTV Inc. has completed the acquisition of Edisn.ai, a Bangalore-based AI computer vision platform. The deal brings Edisn.ai's video recognition technology and a team of nearly two dozen data scientists and engineers into fuboTV to enhance live sports interactivity, ad tech capabilities, and program/dvr accuracy; Edisn.ai's co-founder and CEO Ashok Karanth will join fuboTV as general manager, fuboTV India.

Canal+ (Vivendi) to Acquire M7 Group from Astorg

Canal+ Group, a subsidiary of Vivendi, has agreed to buy Luxembourg-headquartered pay-TV operator M7 Group from private equity firm Astorg. The transaction, announced 27 May 2019 and subject to regulatory clearance, expands Canal+'s European pay-TV and OTT footprint and brings M7's ~3 million subscribers and broadband/telephony assets into Canal+'s distribution network.

JW Player Acquires VUALTO
