Strategic Value Partners to Acquire Majority of Hornblower Group; Crestview Retains Minority

Funds managed by Strategic Value Partners (SVP) will acquire majority ownership of Hornblower Group and provide $121 million of new equity while Crestview Partners will retain a significant minority stake and take sole ownership of Journey Beyond. The transaction is part of a broader financial restructuring that includes $300 million of DIP financing, approximately $720 million of debt reduction and the planned sale or wind-down of Hornblower’s American Queen Voyages unit to focus the business on core land- and water-based experiences.
