A.P. Moller - Maersk has completed its acquisition of Pilot Freight Services from ATL Partners and BCI for approximately $1.68 billion (EV $1.8bn post IFRS-16). The deal adds Pilot's North American first-, middle- and last-mile capabilities — including big-and-bulky e-commerce delivery, ~87 stations and ~2,600 employees — to Maersk's landside logistics and end-to-end supply chain offering.

The deal—supported by Pilot’s backers ATL Partners and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI)—will keep ALC operating as a separate, neutral linehaul provider with founders Enzo and Beth Vartuli and their team remaining in leadership roles.
