PepsiCo Acquires poppi

PepsiCo has completed the acquisition of poppi, an Austin-based prebiotic soda brand, for $1.95 billion (including $300 million of anticipated cash tax benefits for a net purchase price of $1.65 billion), with a performance-based earnout. The deal is intended to accelerate PepsiCo's portfolio transformation into functional and better-for-you beverages and to scale poppi's rapid consumer growth and digital engagement.
