Emmes, a global full-service clinical research organization, has acquired Clinical Edge, a Milwaukee-based provider of visual function examiner training and certification for ophthalmic clinical trials. The deal combines Clinical Edge with Emmes' Optym ophthalmology unit (rebranded OptymEdge), expanding Emmes' ophthalmology certification capabilities and geographic reach across the U.S., Europe and Asia.
