Cedartown Chicken (Cedartown Foods) Acquires Seven Bojangles Restaurants to Expand in Western Georgia

Cedartown Chicken, LLC, an operating subsidiary of Cedartown Foods, signed a franchisee agreement with Bojangles to acquire seven existing Bojangles restaurants in western Georgia from Robinson Holdings and to develop 11 additional restaurants in the region. Cedartown has secured an equity investment from affiliates of Acta Capital, LLC to support the acquisition and new-unit development as it grows the Bojangles footprint in Georgia and parts of Alabama.

Waverly Advisors, a Birmingham-based RIA backed by Wealth Partners Capital Group and HGGC's Aspire Holdings, has acquired Boston-based NBW Capital, adding approximately $500 million of AUM and expanding Waverly into Massachusetts. The entire NBW team will join Waverly (except Ben Niedermeyer, who is retiring); the transaction closed on March 28, 2025 and is intended to bolster Waverly's equity strategy management capabilities.

The acquisition, C&B's sixth under majority owner Platinum Equity, will allow Cook & Boardman to expand its commercial entry solutions footprint and service capabilities in Central New York; terms were not disclosed.

Blue Point Capital Partners, together with its portfolio company Local Crafts Group, has acquired Jimmy Beans Wool, a Reno-based retailer and distributor of yarn, knitting patterns, tools and accessories. The deal brings Jimmy Beans' boutique yarn lines and acquired brands into Local Crafts' platform, strengthening distribution, manufacturing capabilities and support for independent yarn stores across the U.S. and Canada.
