Exaktera (Union Park Capital) Acquires iiM AG

Exaktera, a portfolio company of Union Park Capital, has acquired iiM AG (iiM GmbH), a German developer and manufacturer of specialty LED lighting for machine vision and optical measurement systems. The deal is an add-on to Exaktera’s machine-vision lighting platform, expanding its European footprint and complementary LED and optical measurement capabilities; terms were not disclosed.

Union Park Capital's Exaktera Acquires ProPhotonix Limited

ProPhotonix, a designer and manufacturer of OEM laser modules and LED illumination solutions serving industrial, medical and scientific markets, will continue to be led by CEO Tim Losik and expand Exaktera's capabilities in optical and lighting components.

Luminar Technologies Acquires OptoGration Inc.

Luminar Technologies has acquired its exclusive InGaAs photodetector design partner and specialized fabrication partner, OptoGration Inc., securing chip IP and production capacity to support series production of its Iris lidar sensor. The deal brings OptoGration’s founders into Luminar, secures roughly one million InGaAs chips per year capacity (expandable), and deepens integration with Luminar’s Black Forest Engineering assets to accelerate production and reduce costs.

Eyelit Technologies Acquires Adexa

The acquisition expands Eyelit's smart factory offering by integrating Adexa's planning, scheduling and real-time supply chain capabilities into Eyelit's MES and APS solutions; Adexa was advised by Marks Baughan on the transaction.

Excelitas Technologies Acquires Phoseon Technology

Excelitas Technologies Corp. completed the acquisition of Phoseon Technology, Inc. on February 15, 2023, adding Phoseon's LED-based UV curing and scientific illumination capabilities to its commercial business unit. Phoseon will continue to operate from its Hillsboro, Oregon headquarters and the deal expands Excelitas' product portfolio and R&D cooperation in UV LED solutions across industrial, medical device, electronics and life-sciences end markets.
