Cable Manufacturing & Assembly (a Torque Capital Group portfolio company) acquired Cablecraft Motion Controls in August 2021 and announced a rebrand to the Cablecraft Motion Controls name in May 2022. The deal brings together complementary engineered motion-control product lines—control cables, linkages and actuation systems—to expand CMA's product portfolio and accelerate growth across heavy truck, engine controls, construction and agricultural OEM end markets.

Torque Capital Group Acquires Cable Manufacturing & Assembly, Inc.

Torque Capital Group and its investor group have completed the purchase of Cable Manufacturing & Assembly, Inc. (CMA), a Bolivar, Ohio-based manufacturer of mechanical cables, controls and actuation assemblies serving automotive, marine and power-sports OEMs. Dan Pappano will remain CEO and Torque said it will provide operational resources to support CMA's organic growth and pursue add-on acquisitions.

Radius Aerospace Acquires Doncasters' Aerospace Forming and Fabricating Business (UK)

Radius Aerospace, a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners, acquired Doncasters Group Limited's aerospace forming and fabricating business in Sheffield and Shrewsbury, UK. The acquired business has been renamed Radius Aerospace UK Ltd (Radius Europe) and will operate under its historical Bramah and Shrewsbury names to expand Radius's capabilities and international footprint in engine component forming and fabrication.

Radial Equity Partners Acquires Cortina and Merges It with Portfolio Company Plasticade

Radial Equity Partners has acquired Cortina, a Franklin Park, Illinois-based manufacturer of traffic and work zone safety products, and will merge it with Radial’s 2024 portfolio company Plasticade. The Giannelli family will retain an ownership stake and Matt Soule has been named interim CEO of the combined business to accelerate growth and expand product and manufacturing capabilities.

Solve Industrial Motion Group Acquires SST Bearing Corporation

Solve Industrial Motion Group, a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity, has acquired SST Bearing Corporation, a Loveland, Ohio-based manufacturer and supplier of bearings and power transmission components; the deal also includes conveyor components company USA Rollers, Inc. The acquisition expands Solve's product portfolio and supply-chain capabilities to better serve OEM customers across end markets such as material handling, automotive and food & beverage.
