FileTrail, a provider of information governance and records management software, has acquired Teravine, Inc., an Overland Park, Kansas–based information governance SaaS provider serving large law firms. FileTrail will integrate Teravine's Provident software into its governance suite to create a more complete end-to-end solution and advance future capabilities including AI and NLP; Teravine's former CEO Wes Baldwin will join FileTrail as CTO.

Litera Acquires BigSquare

Litera Acquires Prosperoware

Litera has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Prosperoware, an enterprise software provider that delivers collaboration adoption and governance solutions for legal teams. The acquisition will integrate Prosperoware’s platform with Litera’s legal workflow and collaboration tools to improve matter creation, governance and secure collaboration across systems; financial terms were not disclosed and Prosperoware founders will join Litera.

Litera Acquires Kira Systems

Litera has agreed to acquire Kira Systems, a Toronto-based leader in machine learning contract analysis, to strengthen its Transaction Management platform and expand due diligence workflows. As part of the deal, Kira majority investor Insight Partners will become a minority investor in Litera while Hg remains Litera's majority investor; Kira's AI research team will spin out as a new company, Zuva.
