Electrolux Professional Acquires Unified Brands

Electrolux Professional AB (publ) has agreed to acquire Unified Brands Inc. and related assets from Dover Corporation for approximately SEK 2,140m (about USD 244m) on a cash- and debt-free basis. The deal — expected to close in Q4 2021 subject to regulatory approvals — strengthens Electrolux Professional's presence in the United States and expands its foodservice equipment portfolio while Unified Brands' management will remain in place.

Capital Brands forecasted roughly $290 million in 2020 net revenues; De'Longhi said the acquisition strengthens its presence in the U.S. and expands its food-preparation/blender portfolio and is expected to be accretive.

The Aaron's Company, Inc. agreed to acquire BrandsMart U.S.A. (Interbond Corporation of America) from the Perlman family for approximately $230 million in cash. The acquisition, expected to close in Q2 2022, expands Aaron's retail footprint and e-commerce assortment while enabling Aaron's to offer in-house lease-to-own solutions to BrandsMart customers and drive revenue and EBITDA growth.

LKQ Corporation Acquires Uni-Select Inc.

LKQ Corporation has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all outstanding shares of Uni-Select Inc. for C$48.00 per share in cash, representing an enterprise value of approximately C$2.8 billion (US$2.1 billion). The acquisition is expected to generate about US$55 million of annual run-rate cost synergies by year three and expands LKQ's presence in automotive refinish paint and Canadian mechanical parts distribution; closing is expected in H2 2023 subject to customary approvals.

The sale closed in 2006 and was part of Colgate‑Palmolive's decision to deemphasize detergents and focus on higher‑margin oral, personal and pet care businesses.
